These awards recognize the most transformative initiatives in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem and are organized by El Espa\u00f1ol-Invertia, one of the most widely read media in Spain. ERIA nace de Estabanell, una compa\u00f1\u00eda energ\u00e9tica y de telecomunicaciones con 125 a\u00f1os de historia marcada por el esp\u00edritu pionero de su fundador, Francesc Estabanell. A comienzos del siglo XX, el empresario envi\u00f3 a su hijo al norte de Italia para conocer de primera mano una tecnolog\u00eda que despertaba curiosidad y promet\u00eda transformar la industria: la corriente el\u00e9ctrica. Aquel viaje fue el punto de partida de la electrificaci\u00f3n de las f\u00e1bricas textiles de Estabanell. El excedente de energ\u00eda permiti\u00f3 iluminar las calles y viviendas de Granollers, y la compa\u00f1\u00eda se convirti\u00f3 en una de las impulsoras de la modernizaci\u00f3n del territorio. Con el tiempo, y tras dejar atr\u00e1s su origen textil, Estabanell centr\u00f3 su actividad en el sector energ\u00e9tico. Hoy, ya en su quinta generaci\u00f3n, abarca generaci\u00f3n, distribuci\u00f3n y comercializaci\u00f3n, y se ha consolidado como un referente en innovaci\u00f3n y sostenibilidad en Catalu\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
