We are in luck! Estabanell has been recognized as one of the 10 most disruptive companies in Catalonia as part of the Catalonia Exponential Leaders program, promoted by ACCIÓ, the agency for business competitiveness of the Generalitat, for the creation of ERIA and Energy in the Cloud.
ACCIÓ’s recognition comes at a key moment for Estabanell, which this year celebrates 125 years of history, and is in the midst of a transformation towards a more responsible, flexible and people-friendly energy model. The award highlights the creation of ERIA as a vehicle to connect with entrepreneurial talent and the future of the energy and technology sector.
ERIA: the gateway to open innovation
ERIA, Estabanell’s corporate venturing vehicle, was created in 2024 with the aim of leading the response to new challenges in the sector, facilitating collaboration with the startup ecosystem and promoting internal innovation. It is from this space that we explore, validate and accelerate disruptive technologies and solutions that can have a positive impact on society.
To this end, we have structured our innovation activity into three complementary programs: on the one hand, the startup acceleration program, now in its second edition, and the Venture Client model, which allows us to act as the first client of new technologies through pilot tests; and, on the other, intrapreneurship, which drives internal ideas with results expected in October. With this mixed approach, we integrate external talent, validate emerging solutions and activate the innovative potential of our teams to generate a real impact.
Innovation to transform the energy sector
In addition to ERIA, ACCIÓ has also recognized the creation of Energy in the Cloud, the spin-off of Estabanell that allows the smart and efficient management of electricity distribution networks, both of the group and of third parties. A commitment to digitalization and service stability that helps to face the energy transition with guarantees.
